Amanda Brugel

(February 27th, 2010 - Toronto ON) Pointe Claire is a sleepy community on that part of the island of Montreal known as"the West Island. People unfamiliar with the term frequently think that it's an island that's west of Montreal however, it's a part of the city that's west. West Island is home to all things from Lachine west to the city of Lachine west. Amanda Brugel is said to be born on the West Island. But it's not the case. Brugel grew up in Courtice near Oshawa Ontario. Her initial ambition was to become an actress, However, following a dramatic expansion, she and her partner were no longer able to dance with her. In an article written by the Toronto Star that she is 6'1" tall, even when she wears heels. When I grew out of male companions and gave up, I decided to give up. There are many dancers who make the move into acting. As for the Brugel family, it was their drama instructor who pushed her to go in this direction. One of her teachers suggested she take part in an audition for the annual school play. Following a trial, she ended up as the main character in Anne of Green Gables. This led to her being awarded a Fine Arts Talent Scholarship from York University. In 2000 she earned her Master of Fine Arts at York University. Over the last 20 years, Brugel's work been seen on both the large and small screen. Her work gained most recognition when she landed her role as Rita in the award-winning television show The Handmaid's Tale. Brugel was the sole Canadian actor in Season 1 and was only seen occasionally.
